Inceptio Technology (“Inceptio,” or the “Company”), an industry leading developer of autonomous driving technologies for heavy-duty trucks, recently completed delivery of 300 Inceptio-powered autonomous heavy-duty trucks to YTO Express Group Co., Ltd. (“YTO Express”) (SHA: 600233), a leading express delivery company in China. 

The trucks, jointly developed with Dongfeng Liuqi Chenglong, are pre-loaded with Inceptio Autonomous Driving System and will operate on key nationwide routes, improving both safety and operational efficiency.

Advanced Safety Features for Enhanced Driving Experience 

Inceptio Autonomous Driving System integrates state-of-the-art safety technologies, including LiDAR, millimeter-wave automotive radar, and high-definition cameras. These systems are complemented by advanced driver assistance features such as forward collision warnings, lane departure warnings, and automatic emergency braking, ensuring a smooth and secure driving experience. YTO Express driver Yanchao Ma noted his transition from driver to “safety supervisor”, stating, “It feels like having an experienced driver assisting me.”

Maximizing Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability

YTO Express’s fleet primarily operate on routes ranging from 700 to 1,000 kilometers, maximizing their operational efficiency. Yanchao Ma, for instance, now independently manages an 826-kilometer route from Wenzhou to Jieyang, a trip that previously required two drivers. Beyond improving operational efficiency, the consistency offered by autonomous driving technology significantly reduces fuel consumption and supports environmental sustainability. Inceptio’s Fuel Efficient Autonomous Driving (FEAD) technology can reduce fuel usage by up to 7%, saving approximately 6,000 liters of diesel per truck annually. This reduces CO2 emissions by 15,780 kg per year, equivalent to recycling over 400,000 cardboard boxes.
