Julian Ma of Inceptio Technology Discusses Autonomous Driving and Sustainable Development with UN Deputy Secretary-General

On June 25, 2023, Julian Ma, the founder and CEO of Inceptio Technology, had the privilege of receiving an invitation to the UN Global Compact dialogue hosted in Shanghai. The prominent event featured a CEO roundtable discussion, where Mr. Ma engaged in enlightening conversations with Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, the distinguished Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations. The central theme of their engaging discussion revolved around "Artificial Intelligence and Technological Innovation Helping Sustainable Development Goals". 


The conference received joint sponsorship from the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator, the United Nations Development Program, and the United Nations Global Compact. It featured prominent industry-leading companies such as Inceptio Technology, VoiceNet, SenseTime, Hema, MiniMax, and others in the AI and digital technology fields. Distinguished representatives from these companies were thoughtfully invited to engage in comprehensive and insightful discussions, where they shared their perspectives on the subject matter.

During the discussion, Mr. Ma highlighted Inceptio's impactful practices and accomplishments in utilizing autonomous driving technologies to contribute to sustainable development. In particular, the focus was on enhancing safety, reducing carbon emissions, and creating a better working environment with increased occupational opportunities. One impressive example of Inceptio's success is its commercial operation, which has achieved over 40 million kilometers of autonomous driving without any accidents. Moreover, through continuous algorithm improvements, they have achieved remarkable energy-saving and emission reduction benefits per mile. This has resulted in significant fuel savings ranging from 2% to 10%.

In addition, Mr. Ma shared insightful opinions and suggestions on the impact of AI on human work: 1) Emphasizing vast industry opportunities from autonomous driving in the trucking sector, making basic needs more affordable and creating new job prospects; 2) Highlighting the imminent transformation of working methods, where human-machine co-driving and driverless systems coexist; 3) Addressing the importance of improving the working environment in the trucking industry through automation and electronics. By actively considering these aspects, Inceptio aims to drive positive change in the trucking industry, advancing toward a safer, greener, and more prosperous future.
